Who we are
AUFS is one of the leading wholesale food suppliers for the catering industry in the Northern Territory.
The Lay brothers first retail store was opened in 1989 in Cavenagh Street, Darwin selling porcelain goods and Asian gifts. The wholesale business then grew from this and traded as Asian Importer Exporter & Co. and United Food Service.
In 2009, the two companies merged to form Asian United Food Service at Bishop Street, Woolner and through uniting the two gave birth to the slogan “Together… One better service!”.
We supply most of the restaurants, shops and hotels in the Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine regions as well as servicing some of the remote communities around the top end. We stock a wide range of products at competitive prices, which all just adds to our claim of ‘One better service!’.
Our aim at AUFS is to be the best service when it comes to the food industry in the top end.

Solar Power
Our warehouse facility has a 760kW solar panel system.
Reducing emissions
We use a unique warm glycol defrost system that utilizes the heat generated from the refrigeration cycle. LED lighting used throughout the facility and lighting sensors where applicable.
Sustainable supply
We proudly stock a large range of sustainable and eco-conscious packaging by partnering with suppliers such as BioPak.
The HACCP Certification
We ensure our food safety and product quality through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards in the supply chain with the HACCP certification from SGS in Australia.
